First of all, of what value is 'Fan Voting?'

Is there a dollar amount we can attribute to it? Why do they do it? Does any other sport do this? If I've learned anything through University its that you should never allow the masses to decide anything trivial. They will surprise you. Not in a good way.

Secondly, who cares? Let John Scott play. Its going to be awesome for him and his family and its the All-Star Game, its not like the Cup is on the line or anything. There is literally nothing at stake. This is about as harmless as it gets so long as John can stand people laughing at him if he cant take passes from superstars or something.

Personally, I like it. Some of the best characters and personalities in the league are enforcers. I wish McGrattan had been elected an NHL All-Star Game Captain. That would have been awesomesauce.
