I was more laughing at the dumb/non-descript wording. Hence the follow-up comment on how the media shouldn't say anything until there's actually something to say. Something like "She's can't remember anything because she's claiming she was drugged" would certainly not be something to laugh about. As it appears, it just sounds like someone waffling on their story because they didn't iron out the details before they came out with it. Either situation could be a possibility.
