That's easily explained, women are bitches. Leia probably has long hated Chewie for occupying her husbands time. Instead of romantic wife / husband dates, Han probably went to chewie's house to watch football. Wives are like this, jealous as always. It's not about the dark side, it's just Leia being a typical wife and hating her husband s buddies who are constantly getting him in trouble.
