I'm a big Gaudreau fan but calling him a "Superstar" is a little premature. "True Superstars" were/are Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky, Mario, Yzerman, Messier, Roy, Hasek, Sakic, Iginla, Crosby, Ovechkin, Kane. Players who have put up multiple seasons of Hart Trophies, Art Ross Trophies, Pearson s, Vezinas, Conn Smythe, Stanley Cups, Olympic Golds.
A player that put up 60 points in his rookie season & 40 something halfway through his second is NOT a Superstar. Is he on his way to becoming one? Definitely if he keeps doing what he's doing but he is not there yet. Not even close.
