Sacrilegious but I like this move from the Oilers.
As long as they monitor Kassian to make sure he doesn't negatively influence any of the youngsters outside of the rink, there's no real risk. If he hasn't turned it around, tell him to stay home - costs the same as Scrivens did who wasn't doing anything for the Oilers. But if he does return to form, you got a potential 15-20 goal scorer with size to play on the third line and cause havoc in front of the net. Getting bullied by 185 pound Bennett was embarrassing for the Oilers, some one like Kassian (maybe not Kassian himself) is needed up north.
Besides, he's a first round pick and we all know you can only create a hockey team with first round picks.
