Yeah and there was coverage of the draft that suggested they spent a lot of the time after the first round talking about McDonald vs Demko to try and make that decision if both were available when they selected.

Obviously the two goalies were super close and it was by the narrowest of margins they selected McDonald. I don't think anyone has cause or justification to be bemoaning that decision yet. Goalies are probably the worst position to try and judge at that age, we may not know for another 5 years or more which of the two will end up the best.
