It seems that Gelinas has realized with the cross-ice pass from the mid boards winger to the opposite side d-man is too impractical, especially considering that Wideman seems to miss a lot. With Monahan getting so much attention when the slap pass is available, it gives Johnny another option. While it doesn't seem like Wideman was in a good position to recieve the pass, it's still a good idea in principle. |
