Of course they are well intentioned and there is nothing really harmful in it, but it's bothersome that they assume you cheer for their team just because of your ethnicity. And of course you're happy for them that they are happy with their team's success, but you're not going to cheer for their team and you probably don't want to attend the rally with them when you could spend time with other friends who also don't care about it. After all, you'll still be friends when their celebrations are over.

I completely understand it may annoy some people . Lifes to short to let little things like this bother you. I may not celabrate one particular event personally but It's not going to stop me from enjoying the party.
