I've been rewatching the first goal for the last ten minutes. Wideman is standing still, and Johnny's pass is way too hard for him to one time. He knows Enstrom is baiting him to force it through to a guy who's not in the right position.
When he releases that puck, his best option to score is the deflection. Just like it was against Doughty. The fist pump seals it - I don't think Johnny Gaudreau would celebrate like that over a fluke.
