It's anti-homerism (the grass is always greener..) to suggest Hamilton isn't the top defenseman from that draft at this point.
Larsson is coming along, but hasn't had anywhere near the career that Hamilton has. Brodin started out fantastically but has plateaued. No one else is in the conversation.
