My question is this: If a 97 pound woman 5' tall was assaulted badly and hospitalized for two weeks by a man she had been dating for three years. She is my friend, and I find it absolutely disgusting that someone can do this, especially since my friend is currently being treated for PTSD, and concussion symptoms.
Are there any people who work at correctional institutions who can fill me in on how they would fit in, with the rest of the population, and would this be frowned upon? Thanks.

I'd say about a third, if not more of people in jail are there for domestic assault. As a result, he wouldn't exactly be singled out for anything.
Being in there for rape on the other hand, draws special attention from other inmates.
