I think making any kind of decent money of endorsements in Toronto only really works for the Raptors and Blue Jays because they are effectively the national teams of Canada in their sport. The Leafs are not even more popular than the Canadiens at this point and are quite hated across the country. And Stamkos just isn't Ovechkin in terms of personality or Crosby in terms of his legend in Canada. I really doubt he makes significantly more in endorsements if he comes to Toronto.
