I have never been to a correctional institution, but I have always been curious about the prison hierachy. I know that Gang leaders, and hardcore criminals that mind their own business are usually higher up, while pedophiles and "rats" are usually at the bottom of the pecking order.

My question is this: If a 97 pound woman 5' tall was assaulted badly and hospitalized for two weeks by a man she had been dating for three years. She is my friend, and I find it absolutely disgusting that someone can do this, especially since my friend is currently being treated for PTSD, and concussion symptoms.

Are there any people who work at correctional institutions who can fill me in on how they would fit in, with the rest of the population, and would this be frowned upon? Thanks.
