It's a hindsight exercise. If everyone got to re-draft based on what they know now. Only reason you wouldn't take Johnny is if you needed someone to contribute immediately following the draft and couldn't wait the 3-4 years for him to develop. Or if you think Johnny has peaked and will start to regress. As it stands today, there is nobody on that list that you would even consider trading for Gaudreau.
But then again, the Oilers would still be picking first overall, so they'd still find a way to screw it up and probably take RNH anyways lol.
