If you've never seen the ESPN documentary, The Brady 6, it's about the 6 quarterbacks taken in the 2000 NFL Draft before the New England Patriots selected Tom Brady.
Looking back at the 103 picks before Johnny Gaudreau was picked by the Flames in the 4th round, 104th overall, it became instantly clear: if the draft was re-done today, there would be no doubt that Johnny would have gone first overall.

After 115 NHL games, Johnny is 0.887 PPG. I don't think anyone else is even close.
Add in the story about the Flames intentionally not talking to his USHL coach to avoid tipping anyone off that they were interested, and this has the makings of being its own documentary someday. It's still early, but it's fast becoming a turning point for the franchise as well.
