How does this happen? I mean, I get the crazy neckbeard that decides to sit in a movie theater with a camera, but these are actual decent copies of the film.
It makes me wonder sometimes, I remember way back in the day some bands would find ways to leak their albums because the band gets limited revenue from the sale of the albums themselves, what they wanted was people to come and see their show so they actually made more money by freely exposing the album in order to get more people to come to their show.
I dont know if that same economic structure applies to movies, whether people will see a movie in somewhat crappy quality and think:
"That was good! I'm going to see that in the theater!"
