Well I think we can all agree that his performance this season has been rather disappointing. He is currently on pace for 49 points over 82 games. Back to his normal production.

The silver lining is that he is quickly playing himself out of that big contract we thought he might get, the flipside is that his trade value is also dropping fast.

So what do the Flames do? Try and resign him for cheap? Trade him? Not sure we could get much more than a 2nd at this point? Is that more valuable than, at worst, a poor top 6 player (if he continues to slide) on a team that's really hurting for top 6 players?

Thoughts?
