For the most part, a fence on the USA side of the border would be a nothing event in your life and the lives of any Canadian.
Whether or not America actually needs to build a fence, from their point of view, is another debate. It seems dubious frankly. I also don't think America cares much about Canadians traipsing over the border . . . . the worry probably lies in undocumented illegal immigrants coming here and immediately crossing the border into America.
An interesting statistic I saw recently . . . . 50% of all births in America going forward will have an Hispanic background. Obviously, illegal immigration is changing the character of the country.
Remember that "Ellen" (Ellen DeGeneres) episode where Joe (David Anthony Higgins) revealed himself as an illegal Canadian immigrant from Red Deer, suddenly burbling "eh's" and "aboots?"
