That's a clueless statement, the proper statement is that if the segment can't survive international competition then we should get out of the segment which leaves the employees with nothing.
And funny story since the only way that this business would be able to adjust and survive is to jack up their prices and become even more factor proof, which makes it less competitive to the international competition.
