I'm of the minority opinion that Flames are better without them both. So I disagree that it has any bearing on BT's post season expectations. IMO it is good asset management to get picks/prospects for a couple of guys that don't figure in the long term plans.

Might not be too far off. There is only one other player in the league that is so dynamic. The forward log jam doesn't hurt either (as a reason for watching).

Granlund brings more, and there are a couple more in Stockton that deserve a chance. I hope BT can clear out the log jam.
