See, that's where we have a fundamental disagreement. That's fine, that's what makes me want to spend time here. There are so many varied and interesting opinions. I respect that outlook, I just can't get on board with it.
Perhaps I'm being pessimistic and 'not a good fan' but that's just how I feel. I look at this team and I see a group that has maybe a 1 or 2% chance of winning the cup this season. That's just not good enough for me to take my eye off the future, even a little bit. Yes, miracles can happen, but you absolutely cannot manage a team banking on miracles... especially team's whose best players are all under the age of 25 (not including Giordano). I am still firmly in the camp of re-building this team. I would feel that way even if we won 10 in a row. A little success is not going to change my mind because I believe this team just isn't ready... yet.
And I am absolutely against re-signing Hudler unless he takes another 4x4, which he obviously won't. We can't let him walk for nothing IMO, that's just not an option. Something has to give.
