Speaking of the King Eddy, I was driving a hack back in the 70s and got a call there. Couldn't find my fare but as I was casually looking at the snow covered parking lot across the street, I see this black blob. So I get in my car and drive over to see what it is. There's this guy passed out while probably heading home across the tracks, so I shake his shoulder and ask if he wants a cab. Uh yeah okay he says, so I drive him over to his place in Vic Park. I probably made about a $1.60 but I felt good doing it. I guess the cab business has changed.
