Being able to slot him on any of the bottom 3 lines was appealing as well. Pretty much the exact type of player a playoff team should look for. The only problem was that Washington's scouts apparently didn't do a great job or were watching video from 2-3 years ago.
The only thing Hudler has/had in common with Glencross is he has the ability to score 20 goals. Playoff teams are generally pretty setup in their top 6 and that's the only place Hudler can go. Teams are looking for upgrades or depth come playoff time. A guy like Hudler isn't a depth player so he will have to go to a team looking for an upgrade. Looking around the league, there aren't a ton of contenders that look like they need a guy like him to the point where they will pay a premium. If Stamkos and Staal enter the market, then all bets are off.

Probably this... cause while Glencross was a better skater and more physical player, Hudler is in a different league when it comes to his hockey sense, stickhandling, shot etc etc... Hudler is a far better player.
Not sure what he's worth though.
