The answer to the question is, they will not.
The ice has been bad for nearly a decade now, it was really bad about 4-5 years ago. It used to be that teams took pride in the quality of their ice. Edmonton had the best ice in the league for years and Dan Craig parlayed that into his league duties, the Olympics, etc.
If the team was going to address it, they would have by now. It seems we've heard a number of reasons, real or imagined that they have or haven't addressed. As I recall there was an overhaul to the plant a number of years ago, the flood, playing around with temperature, the switch from Olympia resurfacing units to Zamboni.
