Prust proved to be a detriment to the team in Montreal during the Tampa series with his lack of composure and tact, followed by his whining to the media about the refereeing afterward.
To be effective in his role, Prust should be playing in a manner that makes guys like Marchand spear him. when he's the one becoming unsettled and taking stupid penalties he's nothing but a useless anchor on his team.
Maybe the NHL figured the worst punishment they could hand down was not suspending Prust and allowing Vancouver to leave him in the lineup?
