He's not like Gaudreau or Arnold who burned the first year of their contracts without playing enough games to qualify as a year of pro experience, so their ELCs weren't synced with their arbitration and RFA rights. Hayes didn't burn a year of his ELC, so his years line up the way they're supposed to.
