If you're building a deck for yourself, that's not a business. So unless farmers are growing crops or raising animals for themselves and not for any profit, they should not be exempt.
So yes. If you're talking about self sustaining farms that don't generate any money, then okay. Exempt. If the farm is a business that generates revenue, then it's a business like every other business and should not be exempt.
Should family run auto shops or trucking outfits or warehouses be exempt from OH&S?
