He took me and my friends to the original star wars in 1977 on my 10th birthday, and he indulged me two weeks later when I wanted to see it again.
When I was 13 we stood in line to watch the Empire Strikes back.
But when I was 16 and Return of the Jedi came out, we just didn't go and see it, nor did we go and see any of the prequels together, that was my fault, our relationship for a long time wasn't good. And even though it was repaired by the prequels we never made the time to go to the movies together.
My dad is over 80 now, he's still spry and in great shape for his age, but I know that we probably don't have a ton of time left together on this earth, and I thought that this would be a nice and special moment together.
So I can wait to see Star Wars the Force Awakens, as big of a Star Wars fan as I am, I want to share the same surprises and moments by seeing the movie for the first time with him.
