Adding 10 pounds during the season seems to be quite a feat.

Adding 10 lbs of muscle in 2 months would be a huge accomplishment for someone who's dedicated their whole life to weight lifting. Doing it over 2 months of a Hockey season is so completely bonkers that I have a tough time believing it.
e: He is 18 and his body should basically be at it's peak in terms of developing muscle mass. I added 7-10 lbs of muscle mass in 3 months once and I felt like I was blowing up like the Hulk.
