I have no connection with the team since leaving Calgary, didn't really grow up a Flames fan but still enjoy reading from the community here. I enjoy the watching the kids but don't care about the results.
If I had lived in AZ from 2000-present and not just 2009-Present I wouldn't have gotten to enjoy the 04 cup run so i'm thankful for that but I'm definitely less a Flames fan than I really was in my heart, to me it was really the only thing in Calgary that kept me sane was following a local NHL team. The team nearly moving in 2000 made me not take it for granted as a Calgarian but now that i'm not there I don't really have an attachment. Haven't missed a Coyotes game since I got Center ice in 2006 and been living down here has definitely made it easier.
In the end, The Flames filled a gap in my life where I needed them and I watched some horrible seasons and some great ones but I guess in the end I was never really a Flames fan at heart.

Visited PHX many times in 2000, became a big Coyotes fan but couldn't watch games in Calgary until 2006 w/ Center Ice
