My passion for the Flames is still there and still strong. One difference this year from previous years is not tuning in until 0:00 as often as I used to. I try to watch the entire game but when we're conceding 4+ in games and making zone entries look like rocket science and thus failing, it's extremely hard to watch the entire 60 minutes.
I still get excited on game days, still do my best to make time for the game, but I'm more likely to turn the game off before it's done than recent years.
I think of all the games so far this year, today's game against the Stars is one where I am trying my hardest to sit down to watch because I really don't know what to expect from the boys when the Stars are the second highest scoring team in the league and we're dead last for goals conceded. I'm sure I'll still watch it, but my excitement today is a little less than other days.
Sigh.
