I enjoyed last season's success but felt a bit of a disconnect with the team for some reason.

The off-season, I rarely checked into FOI, and couldn't care less about training camp, etc. Part of it was the continuation of the disconnect, and part of it was me dreading a letdown year. I usually get Centre Ice, but cancelled in the summer; it wasn't until the day before the new season started that I bit the bullet and got GCL.

Anyway, I feel more connected with the team this season, which makes the disappointment, though not unexpected, feel worse.

I agree with the point Captain Crunch made about the game in general feeling less intense.
