Astonishing how bad this team is. I can't recall a team playing collectively this bad. They are at the bottom of the league in record, GAA, SV%, PP, PK etc. There's simply isn't a single thing you can look at optimistically and what's worse is I find myself tuning out of games now which hasn't happened really ever. I've never turned away from the product as I am now and I was a season ticket holder in the Young Guns era. There's a difference between a franchise that was in a hopeless situation doing their best even though it wasn't very good vs a high priced mess of crap that plays an inferior brand of NHL hockey that seems to solely exist to bust opposing teams and players out of slumps and pad their stats.

The product is as bad as I can remember as they aren't really competitive even against middling opponents. Any team that is on some sort of slump coming in usually lights them up. It's like the players are playing shinny hockey out there as there's no defensive structure and special teams are an afterthought. I'm not sure how to critique the coaching staff here because there are literally no signs of coaching to critique. Looks like rudderless players skating around.

IMO it's clearly looking like this team needs a chance in direction on the bench and an entire new coaching staff as this team is simply bad at everything and that points to an ineffective coaching staff.
