Couldn't agree more. Wideman isn't actually playing all that different this year defensively, but his lack of offense is what concerns me. He was never the greatest in his own end but at least he was putting up points.
I still think, despite the general feelings around here, that Wideman is a capable second pairing powerplay specialist, but he's struggling right now.
I think he's due for a breakout game.
