There was dozens of zombies. Some couldn't even get at Nicholas, why didn't they just move slightly and attack Glenn? Why would they ignore him? Didn't they see/smell him? Pretty convenient and stupid considering they have had to lather themselves in guts to disguise themselves in the past. It's already been established that they ravenously attack anything living that they can get there hands on and they won't stop until they do. To me it looked like they weren't even trying to get Glenn. He was RIGHT THERE.

The zombies work themselves up into a frenzy as soon as they see fresh meat. It makes sense they would be distracted by the corpse. Once again, they don't have the mental capacity to think things like:
i) maybe I'll go after the other guy while my friends eat the first guy; or
ii) once I'm done with this guy, I'll find that guy.
They just eat what's in front of them at that moment and don't have memories.
