The Current had a good segment on CBC Radio this morning about The Ripple Refugee Project. They are a group of Torontonians who have come together to sponsor a Syrian refugee family. It was interesting to hear about a group of people who came together with a common goal of sponsoring a family and their experiences so far. They also talked about some of the specifics of setting up a sponsorship, from the financial aspect, speaking to existing Syrian Canadians for culture guidance, and hearing about their family they chose.
