Well, Jim Bowden from ESPN is reporting that despite what the reports are, he's been told by someone inside the Blue Jays front office that they are not going to be making a play on any of the top free agent pitchers. For reference sake, it Jim Bowden and Inside Pitch (XM Radio Show) that said the Jays had no budget increase allowed by Rogers and would not be adding anything at the 2014 deadline despite reports in the Canadian Media that the Jays would be active and were in on multiple big name additions.
I should have known to better than to get myself excited. There's the Jays we all know and love!
