Why does Sportsnet have to have an equal amount of coverage for every team? They are a private business that wants to maxmize revenues that should be their goal not making sure every fanbase has a lollipop at the end of the day.

I don't need a lollipop from anyone, but if they are in the business of maximizing revenues, as you so helpfully pointed out, they should probably try to do a slightly better job at everything. That includes pointing the blogger hacks in the right direction.
I've never heard of this Willis guy before, but just looking at his past month, he has three articles bashing the Flames and two fawning over the Oilers.
As usual, the Oilers are the worst team in the NHL, so this does have a whiff of "the guy is an Oilers fan first and a journalist about 50th" to it. Hard to maximize the old revenues when nobody takes your coverage seriously.
