Giordano for Hamonic is an interesting proposition if you remove the emotion around it. There'd obviously need to be other pieces but Flames get a piece more in line with their window and their cap constraints while the Isles get a piece in line with their window and need.
It will never happen but that'd be a cold-eyed hockey trade.
And as an aside, people proposing to trade Hamilton aren't throwing him under the bus as much as understanding that you're not going to trade Wideman or Russell for Hamonic. To get you've got to give. Pretty basic.
