It is quite possible they were actually rolling out fibre, with the way the rollout is occurring it's likely that the social media team wouldn't have had access to see if it was a regular install or a fibre install. |
They were going to do a traditional install on copper, but the door to door sales guy sold me a fibre install,
At the end of they day these are Telus employees going door to door, signing people up under the guise of installing fibre and then pulling a bait and switch and installing traditional copper based service, likely without telling anyone about the bait and switch and banking on the fact that the average user would not know the difference.
