Religion is what the interpreter brings to it. It can be violent or not. Islam is no different. Buddhism is no different.
The views of Islam in the last couple threads are diametrically opposed to the beliefs of every Muslim I know as well as my religious studies professor way way way way back when....he was a rabbi.
