You're making it sound as though all, or even most, Muslim immigrants are refugees from war-torn countries. Don't let recent events skew your perception of something that has been going on for 50 years. Most of France's Muslims are from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. Not especially nice places, but not, for most of the last 50 years, hellish war zones. Most of the UK's Muslim immigrants come from Pakistan. Again, not a war zone (except for the borderlands with Afghanistan). Most of Germany's Muslim immigrants come from Turkey. I've been to Turkey a couple times and not had my head blown off. It's no more a war zone than Mexico. The largest source of Muslim immigrants to the Netherlands is Indonesia. There hasn't been a war in Indonesia proper since the 60s.
These people picked up stakes and moved to Europe or North American for economic opportunity. And I'm fine with that. I just don't understand why they seem surprised that their values clash with the values of their destination countries, and fail to anticipate that this can pose tremendous problems for them and their children. Maybe they think they can keep their ways of life by living in enclaves of co-religionists. But they're wrong in that. However tolerant and open to multi-culturalism a Western country is, it will still seem a cesspit of vice, perversion, and fornication to many devout Muslims.
