If Gio, Brodie and Hudler are all nursing injuries, I would honestly not be opposed to having them all sit, or go on IR if needed, until they are 100%. I've kind of come to accept that this is a developmental year, and having three of our best players working at full capacity in the second half would allow the team to maintain a winning atmosphere (and culture) going into what should be a big year next year.
Having kids come up and get some NHL time, and players like Russell and Wideman being showcased in significant minutes, I see as a positive as well.
Two weeks on IR for all three, and an exciting end to the season sounds like a good deal.
