I think Wideman has negative value right now. Next year you may be able to move him with no term left. Right now? I don't believe any team wants to take a chance on him.
If the Isles are trading Hamonic it just isn't about replacing him in terms of quality of player - they will probably want someone of similar age.
I don't see much of a fit for the Flames.

Agreed, they probably want one of Brodie, Hamilton... No point.
Then again, after Snow traded Moulson and a 1st for Vanek, he wanted the same value back for him at the deadline. He ended up getting pencil shavings.
