The last pairing is not fantastic, but it's not terrible, and more of a prototypical 3rd pair. Don't know enough about Hamonic to say if the value is there. The Isles may need to add a mid pick or decent prospect to even it out, as both Wideman and Russell are good players.

I doubt Smid is on the team next year. He'll either be traded, or more likely, bought out.
