Colorado Avalanche’s Jarome Iginla among the veteran players still thriving...
Would love to get iggy back... He fills so many needs for the flames right now and over the next couple years.
It's funny how someone mentioned in the game thread last night that Bennett reminded them of an early iginla. I almost agree... Bennett might be a little shiftier and not as strong as iggy at that age but the dominant way they could take over a shift is there.
I remember how iginla in his prime years was so dominant it was such a great thing to watch. The only comparable to me in the NHL right now would be Malkin when he is on his game. Iggy would crash through three guys in the corner to get the puck and once he had it... It was impossible to get it from him. Too strong, too skilled, and too quick. I cold see Bennett being that in a couple years.
