Eberle fits the bill with his scoring touch that would compliment Tavares' playmaking abilities. Give him someone like that to play with, he won't look so overpaid.

You or I would be eating up crazy minutes (not sure 21 minutes is crazy) if we were on the Oilers and I haven't seen even mediocre defensive coverage from him let alone decent.
The Islanders already have Okoposo who actually plays defense, is very physical and has shown chemistry with Tavares so why trade for Eberle when they can just give Okposo that money and use Hamonic to get a solid asset?
