This has nothing to do with Syrian immigrants. It has everything to do with whether you believe political expediency is the way to run your country.

For those worried about ISIS - congrats you are as easily duped as those that think this is about humanity. I can list 1000 things that our Country could do that would have far more benefit to humanity than accepting 25000 refugees from Syria. . You, and the government we elected, would never propose or support them, because they are not the popular thing to do, and most if you would be ignorant to the fact that they even exist.

Feel good if you must, but there are far more effective things Canada could do to help the world, and even Syria, than patting ourselves on the back for accepting 25000 refugees.

Of course, this is all just my opinion.

I haven't seen anyone that support bringing the refugees before the end of the year say that that it is all about benefiting humanity. Everyone knows there are political motives. It's just like not everyone that recycles does it only because it helps the environment. There are also social pressure that make people do it. Who cares, as long as the right thing is being done.

And so what if there are other things we "could" be doing, if we still aren't doing them.

Accepting refugees undermines ISIS more than any bombs do.
