I think that 95% if the arguments for and against completely miss the real issue here.
This has nothing to do with Syrian immigrants. It has everything to do with whether you believe political expediency is the way to run your country.
For those worried about ISIS - congrats you are as easily duped as those that think this is about humanity. I can list 1000 things that our Country could do that would have far more benefit to humanity than accepting 25000 refugees from Syria. . You, and the government we elected, would never propose or support them, because they are not the popular thing to do, and most if you would be ignorant to the fact that they even exist.
Feel good if you must, but there are far more effective things Canada could do to help the world, and even Syria, than patting ourselves on the back for accepting 25000 refugees.
Of course, this is all just my opinion.
