Are those 4 inches really that important when it comes down to it? 6'3" is big and pretty easily found throughout the league if you're looking for generic 4th liners. Smith's biggest hope in becoming a generic 4th liner likely comes down to just how much a GM covets those 4 extra inches IMO.

I see him as a bigger more talented Ferland who played a significant role in winning a Memorial Cup. He has a great attitude.
My hope is that he becomes a 2-3 line reliable long term guy whose 20 or so goals every year come from PP time.
I believe anyone expressing concerns at this stage did not read the wrapper. He needs a few years to ripen. When he is ready you better believe I'll dig up this post.
Re: Berra, he is about the same as Ramo. It was a miaracle to get a sencond for him regardless of whether he becomes the next Peter Budaj or not. IMO that's his ceiling.
Despite some good play he is waaaaaaay off being worth a 2nd. Colorado were stupid to trade that pick. Especially if Hunter spend the next 15 years injuring their players with clean hits.
